folks, after subscribing long ago i still find it hell to find this
place again. If you are here, you can laugh at my ineptitude in
posting. See, I go to our site, FCRowing.com and cant seem to find my
way here, from there. Still dont know how I got here.
That said ----- Thanks for the opportunity to coach THE WILLING -
nikki, tonya, anna, luke, javier, ksonk, lauren, katie, and daniel!
FCrowing has five new members, two potentials who I asked to show the
night before, and I think coaches Howie, myself and Aim gave csucrew a
little bene booster shot for the fall.
Oh, and my daughters Cecelia (7) and Elsa (5) waited patiently for
their shot at rowing on Sauturday and got diddly. Then, Sunday, they
waited again, and when they DEMANDED a shot to row they sat in and
just started cranking on it. Inhibition gets you nowhere. But then
when you are 7 and 5 you are spared from performance anxiety. For the
future of rowing, check out Elsa's USA Rowing hat and the puddles
behind her oars. Cecelia takes a little direction, but so far Elsa is
uncoachable.
Nathanael, please post those pics on the fcrowing.com site. I s'pose
we need our own gallery, heheh?
For all the others who have shown an interest in rowing, but didnt
pull the trigger, understand that IT AINT GONNA LICK ITSELF. you have
to show up ready to row. 630 am saturday with your check in hand.
harry, doug. That includes all you sweep rowers who feel like studs
but quiver at the thought of being seen crabbing in a sculling boat,
(Nick, Maureen, Susquahanna.) Stop the hovering and get on the stick.
Noone said it was easy! And you will not be good on your first row.
But it is a blast and you will feel the swing.
Love, Mark
