Nice late model shifter w/Kawasaki 125 motor assembled for Indy team to keep in
shape. Never raced, very clean. 1 hour (break-in) on motor. This is a nice
looking kart with like-new plastics. Includes stand with multi-drawer built-in
toolbox and air tank. Contact Steve Geiger at 317-839-0863. $3500 OBO.
Thoroughly enjoyed Nationals at the new site, although maintaining four
karts with minor issues left me without very much free time...even being
there ALL week. Agreed Lincoln is a great new location and will be even
better in the years to come as they iron out minor site organizational
aspects.
Paul Russell deserves a big round of applause, not just for his win, but for
his incredible sportsmanship throughout (I was pushing for a "special" award
Paul). A last minute issue with our kart was easily solved and fixed by
Paul, including parts.
Paul, please send me your address so I can reimburse you appropriately.

Along with the above, Eric Clements and Mike McClintock offered rides to our
dual driver DC members that sheared a spindle on their first run. They were
able to successfully complete their first Nationals ever, let alone in a
shifter kart as well. In fact, Edwin was ready to quit after his incident,
and Mike put him right "back on the horse" which is much appreciated.
Congrats to Karen as well!
Funny coincidence:
Paul (1st) helps Karen (1st) often
J.T. (2nd) helps Jackie (2nd) often
I (3rd) help Lisa (3rd) often
Alan (4th) helps Neva (4th) often
There must be some weird vibe between Alan and I, we're consistently running
within a tenth of each just about every event, usually hundredths!
Also, a congrats goes out to first timers in the trophies, Tom Reynolds and
Anthony Montelo, great performances from both!
For those watching from home, it's well worth it to be back out at a very
similar to Forbes atmosphere. Make the trip! (especially you Tom
Harrington!)

I just got home from Lincoln. I thought the week went pretty smoothly
and was a lot of fun. This was my first Nationals in the kart since
getting it this February. We were lucky to have nice, dry conditions.
The concrete is pretty grippy though a bit less than Forbes IMO. Only
very small isolated incidents of breaking up of said concrete and I
thought it was very smooth. Lincoln is a really simple little city and
its easy to get around even during "rush hour." Lots of good food and
there never seemed to be a long wait for anything. 14 hour tow sucks,
but topeka was 12 for me. A big thanks to everyone that helped me out
all year long (Brian Garfield in particular) and a big thanks to Jason
Vehige, Brian Boggess, and Paul Russell for helping me get a better
setup than I showed up with on Sunday.

I finally registered yesterday once I got the all clear from work and
I will be running in F125, not AS. This is all very last minute for me
compared to other trips to Nationals that would planned out the prior
winter so I hope I'm prepared.
When do we typically find out the run order of each day? I don't seem
to recall though I remember its pretty close to the event itself.
Tom
PS - I forget this list does a reply to sender, sorry for the double email Alan.

hours.
Hey Danny Kao, SCCA HQ still does not have your co-driver listed
correctly. I'm seeing his name in the F125 class, but also now in F125L. Eh,
even
if it were legal to run more than one class, I really don't want to know if
he is "equipped" to run either!

I know this is a long shot but ya never know (the more kart enteries the better
right)... checking to see if any one knows a female autocrosser looking for a
F125L ride at Nationals... Kart is set up with a ribtect XL tall seat and an
extended porch... but I have a nice set of pedal extentions my shorter co-driver
uses. Kart is a 2005 Vanspeed (CRG built) with an SGM ICC motor 415lb
minimum..... Kart weights about 208 with a little fuel in it and I do not have
any ballast on the kart. A good opportunity for the extra tall gal in your
life!! LOL. Price of admission is one set of MG greens to be used on the
nationals practice course. All other cost beyond event fees (race fuel, gas, ect)
will be covered by me and my codriver .... I also have an xxl G force karting
Jacket available for use. I will have one set of Greens for the actual event.
We are arriving Monday Afternoon and leaving Friday Night.
I am located in Charleston WV (test fiitting can be arranged) and will be
planing a trip to Circleville Raceway near Columbus OH some time later this
month for pre nats testing.

That is what I mean. Brian has had to buy/setup a kart for himself,
his wife, and two kids. So I think he probably could answer many of
your questions where many of us only had to setup ourselves.

Yes, I will say that I'm seriously looking at getting at least

I've read the FAQ, and have driven various karts (as well as Formula

Cool game, very similar to the Michael Schumacher karting game I had bought
a few years ago. This may even be better. My fastest lap is 1:00 right
now, finally won a race, albeit very paranoid. I have a tendency to be
running a perfect lap and then just touch the tire wall enough to flip me or
spin me around...

I've always run the Stones. YJP or whatever the newer ones are. They can
usually be found cheap but new on EKN if you're patient. You should be able
to pay well less than $150 in wrappers. I bought two sets once for $100/set
new in wrappers.

Ahh, Paet Hidalgo is certainly the salesman...
While the name Renspeed can be attached to a winning chassis for
SCCA autocross and Pro Solo, this is a much different setup than
the one I own that has such a history. The roller for sale appears to
be vintage around 2003, and has been changed significantly from
my '96. Not to say that it would not be good for AX, but recognize that
the name Renspeed (coined and formerly owned by the seller here)
is all that is the same.

Jeff, Sunset. The event ran late Saturday. My first pair of Sat pm runs had
the sun just above the horizon (In your eyes) For the second pair the sun
had set. Second drivers were getting close to driving in the dark by the
time they finished.
Alan, Yes I'm having lots of fun. The F125 speed thrill is huge but it is
tempered by the inability to execute the course driving plan...I must be
using too much brain power on shifting.

He apparently can't imagine what a cone would do to your control of a
kart when wedged in certain places because you didn't have bodywork to
keep it out. I think that would be the "reasoning" he's looking for,
although I can't speak for the entire KAC.
It's not about "multiple engines", it's about any configuration that
has not been previously approved. Everyone has to go through the same
process to be allowed to use a non-classified kart. Perhaps if he
simply sent a letter, the KAC/SEB would combine the cc's of the two
motors to approve them being lower than 250cc's? (4 stroke
non-shifters under 250cc's allowed).
We didn't make this a litigious society, we just have to deal with it now.
