Keep in mind that the reason we** created the airbox at Qualcomm rule
was not to make sound. It was created by a few of us that all agreed
to try to not annoy people more than we had to. As some of you might
know, getting F125 allowed in SD was a long and hard battle, and one
that is still not over.
We asked competitors to minimize blipping the throttle in staging. We
asked everyone to use airboxes. Basically we need to be model
citizens and more. We felt that airboxes, in addition to helping
meet sound, also reduced the annoyance of the karts higher frequency sounds.
