fuel slosh problem?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #5038 of 5243 |
Hi all,

We're experiencing a severe engine bog when applying throttle coming
out of a left hand sweeper or crossover. We don't notice it on a pin
turn, only on an extended left hander.

We just ran the NE Divisional @ Warminster, PA which is held on an
old airstrip. Saturday we had a right hand turn around at the end of
the runway and the engine didn't skip a beat. Sunday the course was
basically reversed and the engine bogged severely coming out of the
turn around.

Could this be fuel starvation due to slosh in the carb bowl?

Why would it only happen on extended left hand turns?

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
