did I do any damage?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #4527 of 5261 |
Yesterday at our last event of the season I overcooked it and smacked a
cone on the right sidepod. I think that's the reason for my pipe to
pop off the flange. (I also misshifted) Because of that, the O-rings
were gone, and my already weak springs couldn't keep the pipe on the
flange under any kind of acceleration. I ran about 100' under low load
with the pipe disconnected, then called it quits for the day.

Just planning on the off season rebuild- is there anything in
particular I should check out for damage due to this scenario? It
didn't seem like much, but then again, as I've proclaimed so many times
here, I have no idea what the heck I'm doing ;)

Thanks!

Vic
