I'm sorry to say that only 3 people let me know that they wanted to play on 4/5,
so I just let the league organizers know that we will not be playing this
Sunday.

There are no games scheduled for 4/12, so the next league opportunity will be
4/19.  Get yourselves geared up!

I regret to inform you that the games for 3/29 have been canceled.  Some would
have braved the elements (high of 36, 20+mph winds, and snow expected), but it
has been raining throughout the day.  The Forest Preserve will not let us play
with the field in this condition.  Let's look forward to better weather.

Let me know about April 5.  so far, only 1 person has said that she could play.

First off, I need to know, no later than Sunday 3/29, who wants to play on April
5 (during spring break).  If I don't get at least 7 responders, I will have to
cancel.

This Sunday our games are at 12 noon and 1:30 pm, again at Miller Woods.  first
game is against Notre Dame, the second against New Trier.

I plan to leave the west entrance of school at 10:50 am.  Be there.

Don't forget all forms and money must be in to play.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have be requested not to play ay the
Miller Fields this weekend. Please do not go to the fields and play any games.

I won't make it today until after 4:30 due to all-staff meeting.  For Sunday's
game, we need to decide:

1.  who is going to go - I have room for about 10 or 12 in the van.  As our
first game is at 12 noon, I intend to leave at 10:50 am from the west entrance
to the school.

2.  how do we substitute. I'm willing to do so if that's what you want.

Seedings were based on; last years results, whim, bribes and checking star
charts.

All teams should be on the fields by 9:15 a.m. warming up for the 9:30 start.
Captains should check in with me (Carey Goldenberg) personally by 9:15 for field
assignments and further details. Every team will get at least two games, and
three if you desire. Bring water and your own personal food, as I will provide
enough bagels and some other small amounts of other goodies.

Game times will be at 9:30, 11:00 and 1:00 p.m. followed by the finals, whenever
those last games finish with a small break in between. All players must have
turned in their waiver forms and paid before taking the field. Winning team will
receive $5 per player.

I (Doc K) intend to drive a school van, departing ETHS by the west entrance at
8:10 am, Sunday morning.  I can take 14 players.  I will only take players who
have given me all of the following:
	 a.  $30 check made out to Chicago Ultimate
	 b.  signed CUJO waiver form
	 c.  athletic pink slip
	 d.  signed ETHS extracurricular activity code

At this point, it looks to be wet and cold still, so bring warm clothes for when
you're not playing, food, homework, entertainment, etc.

Also bring an orange gym shirt.  I don't know yet whether we'll get shirts from
CUJO at the tournament.

We will have a practice at Mason Park, Weds March 4  after school.
Plan on being there.  If you cannot be there and wish to be on the
roster, contact me with the following information:
name, student #, email address, shirt size.

I am checking on whether we're in the March 15 tournament (it is
first come, first serve) and will let you know.  The regular season
begins Sunday, March 22 with games at 1, 2:30 and 4 pm (2 of those).

I hope to have a van to provide rides.  I'll let you know.  If so,
we'll leave school at 11:45 am for 1 pm game start, 1:15 for 2:30
game start.

Remember that I need waiver forms and money for CUJO, and
extracurricular activity codes and pink slips for ETHS.  You cannot
play without these!

How to Register for Sports:

STEP ONE: Complete the PERMIT FORM.  Bring to the annual
doctor's physical exam to get doctor's signature, stamp and date of
physical. Be sure to sign EVERY waiver and consent agreement on the
card (parent and student).

STEP TWO: HAND DELIVER the permit form to the Athletic Office
during the APPROPRIATE REGISTRATION DATES (see below)

OF TRYOUTS/PRACTICE.  Students without pink slips can NOT participate.

PLEASE NOTE:
• In order to try out, every student must have a recent
physical exam that clears the athlete for participation.  The exams
are good for one year and must not expire during an athlete's season
or the student can't register.
• The athletic permit form is good for the ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR.
If you tried out for a fall sport you do not have to resubmit another
permit card to participate in a winter or spring sport, unless your
physical will expire during your sports season.

Practice on March 4 after school at Mason park.  If you cannot make it,
or weather does not allow, make sure that you let me know by then that
you plan to be on the team.

Our season starts March 15 (if we want to enter the preseason
tournament).  we need to have shirts by then (meaning we need to order
them before then!), and I need all forms and money by then.

We should practice some before then too.  How about March 4 after
school at Mason Park?  I'm also exploring getting gym time in case of
inclement weather, but the only available time is 8 - 10 pm.  I'll let
you know about that when it's firmed up.

There's a coach/team captain meeting march 1.  Allison, would you be
able to go?
