Based on the feedback I got, I set the date for the tournament as June 2nd-3rd.  If you have a scheduling conflict, please let me know so I can work with you to make sure you still have a team at the field. 

Additionally, we have settled on a tournament fee of $200/team. 

Rosters will be due by May 17th.  I will get back to you on submission procedures.

Coaches, Sponsors, Players and Ultimate Enthusiast,

  I would like to take a second to update you on the progress of the
Illinois State HS Championship presented by Sensei Ultimate Network,
NpC. I have reserved Schiller Woods (Grove 13) for the tournament and
we currently have the choice of Memorial Day Weekend (May 25-26) or
June 2-3 on which to host it. I need to let them know by Friday what
our preference is. Therefore, please let me know if you have a strong
affinity for either weekend and a reason for that preferences ( i.e.
"my team cannot compete on that weekend.")

  Also, as a reminder. This tournament will be a UPA sanctioned
tournament. As such there are a couple of guidelines we must follow.
1) all participants must be included on a roster submitted two weeks
prior to the tournament date (to me). 2) all participants must be
registered with the UPA (I believe youth membership is 15/year) 3) all
teams must be accompanied by at least one chaperon who has volunteered
for such designation with UPA (form must be completed and sent back).
If the coach or sponsor can't join the team, please find someone who
can. We will have a ultimate players with college and club experience
we can partner with ultimate newbies.

  The tournament fee has not been set as we are still trying to gather
sponsors and prepare a budget. We will have a much better idea as more
and more teams show interest. In that same vein, please pass word to
any and all IL HS players/coaches/contacts you have that are not on
this list. I will be submitting this tournament for posting on UPA's
website on Saturday.

  Finally, we are now in the process of finding sponsors to help keep
team costs down to a minimum. If you have any suggestions or know
people in a position to help, please let me now. Sensei Ultimate
Network, NpC is a non-profit corporation and any donations may be tax
deductible - so spread the word.
