Alright, other teams have been starting up practices (don't worry, we won't yet), we have 1 month to go before our spring pre-season tournament, and right now there are 20 teams in it.  I have heard from 2 people so far who say they want to play, Malcolm and my sister Al.  With myself this makes three.  I know two people who are quitting their spring sports to play ultimate, this is five.  I am assuming that Biz will play (hopefully).  This is 6.  If I see you in the hallway or something I will ask you if you want to play, or if I don't see you, tell me, I would like to know either way (I need to know).  Games will be on Sundays, we're paired up with New Trier, Lake Forest, and some other team for the first pool, so these are the first teams we will be playing.  I have heard that New Trier's allstar has been taken out due to surgery.  I just today completed a Gaia level 1 coaching course, and I promise that I will be a 100% better captain/coach than I was in the fall with all the stuff I have learned.  If we work hard during practice, I know we have a good chance to win the UPA Illinois State Championships, and if we win that we will all be taking a field-trip to Ohio and miss school for Easterns!!!  Talk about a nice reward.  So let me know, I will be periodically sending updates, tell me if you can/can't attend the pre-season tourney at schiller park in chicago, and if you can/can't be part of our team and attend our weekly games (I will try to figure out transportation of some sort, carpools, maybe if you all send in those forms from the beginning of the year we could get a bus, maybe).  I saw the jerseys this year and they are sweet!!!  No more black and white, cotton tees, its colored jerseys with a sweet design, but to be honest, the discs aren't great logo wise.  Convince your friends to show up to practice, throw around, and there is pick-up on Sundays at 2 pm at Sheridan and Foster.
