Hi everyone,

Apologies for the non ultimate email. I have a housemate here from Australia
working at the U of O for the next 6 months who needs a bicycle for
commuting around town. He's looking for a loaner or to buy one, so if you
have a bike sitting around in the garage collecting dust, let me know!
Thanks!
Laura

Im looking for a B Team for Fall City League, any teams need a girl? I've played
B1 and B2 and C, but am looking probably just for a B team.
Please let me know asap, seeing as team rosters are due the 20th I hear. Even if
I can pickup with a team occasionally would be awesome :-) Thanks, Brittney West

Hey all,

The NCS team ( a high school team, C league) is not forming this fall due to low
numbers. However, there a few students who are really committed to the sport and
really want to play this Fall.

If there is any C team that have spots for either male or female players (3
seasons of experience), could you send me an email so that something might be
arranged?

Thanks,

Eleanor Long

Hi Eileen and the rest of Eugene Ultimate,

There will be pick-up this Wednesday about 6ish behind Roosevelt M.S. on E. 24th
and Patterson.

There was a great turnout last week and should be even more folks this Wed! Hope
to see you all there!

I hear there may be more pick-up going on during the week but I am not sure
about the locations or times. Anyone??

Any games tonight? And in general, I wonder if you could recommend a game for
someone like me, who is more a recreational player. I haven't played in a while,

I'm obviously not in charge of this, but my two cents is that the ability
for people to sign up freely outways the cost of having to remove a
spammer. when it happens on my other yahoo groups, I just remove them and
send out a posting to the listserv letting people know that the offending
spammer was removed. I don't usually mention the listserv to people, so I
was impressed by two of seven folks on the line had trouble joining the
group. Makes me wonder how many other people are out there trying to join?

There really is no better system. People can request to get added to
the group and then they get added, but if we open it so everyone can add
themselves, we'll end up with massive problems with spam, which happened
a few years ago when one person slipped through the cracks.

Hey everyone, turnout at pickup was great last night! For a while we had
7's on the line with subs, and by the end we had about six to eight people
waiting to get in the game. That's awesome! High quality play with a wide
range of players, skilled to those getting up and running on their skills.
See you next week Wed at 6pm! Directions to the fields can be found at
www.eugenecoed.com .

I talked to some people last night who said they couldn't get on the
eugeneultimate listserv, one guy had been trying for a year to get added to
no avail. 1) who is moderating this listserv, and can we get the
restrictions opened up so people can add themselves, and 2) if you know
anyone who is having a hard time getting on the listserv, email me their
email and I'll try to help them out.

Ryan

Just to make sure everyone knows what is up and happening on
Wednesdays...

Century Fields will be home to three varieties of ultimate this evening
around 6pm (two for sure, and one maybe for the first time this
evening). First, there is a group of Rhino and other high level mens
practice/scrimmage. Second, there is general pick-up for all people of
all varieties and backgrounds that is mixed in character. And third,
there is womens pick-up being hosted by a few of the churchill high
school girls.

This will be the first attempt, but calling all women interested in
some good quality pick-up. Wednesdays from 6-8pm at Roosevelt. Bring
a light and dark, cleats, and have some fun. The motivations for this
has come from the Churchill HS girls who wanted to play some more
womens ultimate.

Eugene Community of Ultimate Players,

I write you on behalf of 14 ultimate players who will be attending
the UPA Youth Club Championships this August as well as 2 junior
worlds players who will be representing the US also in August at the
World Championships. Both of these endeavors are truly amazing
opportunities for our youth to showcase their talent they learned
while in Eugene to the nation and the world.

To participate in these events, our youth will be needing to raise
support for their expenses. To make this happen, many have found
summer employment and rich third-removed uncles... But this sadly has
not included all of them, and thus they are hoping to find ultimate
players in our community who are in need of their services.
Babysitting, yard clean-up, mowing, odd-jobs, etc... These are great
kids who want to put the work in to make their trips happen, but need
your help.

If you have something that one, two, or more can do for you, please
contact me by email or by phone:

I'll also have some Solstice discs and a few shirts for sale at summer
league on Tuesday. Come find me if you want to buy one. $10 for discs and
$20 for shirts. I'll be on the middle field on the white team.

hey all --

I'm swinging out to pickup Wednesday to fill a Solstice disc order or two, and
will have some more on hand if anybody wants one. They're $10 a pop and will
instantly take .25 off your time in the 40.

See if Molly Suver is willing to take it and see if she is coming up sometime
soonish. If not then I think COD will work fine. Thanks for doing this.

If you know a Eugene player and can hook up for delivery, that's great. If not,
I can put it out on our Eugene listserv, or mail it COD ...

Matt,
Is there a number on the Washington Huskies Pullover? If it is 89 and says
alumni on the back it is mine.
