Hello Friends,
Daughter and gymnast Jamie will be entertaining large crowds at the Oregon
Country Fair in an act using a walking globe as well as other acts. The fair
is coming up the weekend of July 7-8-9. If you're at the Fair, the show is
the "Girls Circus" on the WC Fields stage, Fri at 6PM, Sat & Sun at 2PM.
It's quite a fun production with aerialists, live music, fire acts, and
more. Hope you can enjoy their show, but if you don't do that this year- I
understand. If you do- get there early~ you'll want a good seat!!!
(and Jamie may be in the first number with a professional contortionist from
Portland)
Thanks so much for being an audience to her learning performance
opportunities!
Enjoy Summer!
peace and blessings,

Subject: Lining the fields
Okay team!
Hereıs the plan...
First off for those of you who have know idea who I am or why Iım involved.
My name is Shannon. Iıve been the Frisbee Central ³Hostess with the Mostest²
for the past 4 years. I donıt play frisbee but I seem to watch a lot of it.
I am probably best known as Kari and Nicıs friend. Most of you have likely
meet me in some sort of Halloween costume :)
I am heading up the field lining this year by default, but I think I have
hammered out a plan that is going to make the process pretty painless.
Thanks to Matt Cooper we now have our very own lining machine and weıve got
all the supplies collected from various years of the project. Iıve got a map
and measurements and all the paint loaded in my truck. All we need now is
man power.
Iıd like to meet at Ascot at 9am. The thing that I am most worried about in
the AM is getting the soccer goals moved! They are big and heavy and from
what I recall..in the way for painting a few of the fields.
Once thatıs taken care of itıs just a meticulous process of measuring
staking and squaring and then the lining part is cake!
So... I am obviously not going to be at work tomorrow or Friday so this
e-mail address wonıt work to get to me. Please reply to
shannon@... or call my cell at 914-5644. To let me know
when you are able to join in the fun!!!!
Thanks so much to all of you for offering to help. Itıs a big project but I
am confident that we can make it happen quite easily.

Hey Frisbee Freaks!
As many of you know, this weekend is the 28th annual Solstice tournament in
Eugene.
I need a person (or several people to split the shift) to be a field monitor
at Churchill on Saturday and Polk fields on Sunday. You would keep the
time, blow the horn, hand out bandaids, keep the big water jugs full, and
just hang out and watch lots of great games.
The weather is supposed to be good, the games will be great and I will be
forever grateful to you!!!
You'd start at 8:30 both days.
Please let me know ASAP.
Cheers,
Lee

Hey all --
That's how many incoming players still need housing for this weekend's
Solstice tournament. Hotels are booked due to UO graduation.
Please think hard about hosting some players. Eugene's got a great
reputation for strong, spirited Ultimate, and this tournament is our
hallmark event. Let's continue that tradition.
thanks, let me know,
Matt
Jerseys are done. I'll pick them up Monday AM and will distribute them
as quickly as I can. Please pay me if you haven't already, you know who
you are.
H
Hey all --
Thanks to a Herculean effort from many local folks, we've got a roof to put
over virtually every incoming player who needs it, for next weekend's Summer
Solstice tournament.
But we're not there yet -- more than a dozen still need housing, and that
could grow. If you've got any space at all, please let me know how many you
can handle.
thanks,
Matt

Hey all --
It'll be tough to rent the equipment to line fields for Solstice; the rental
groups don't carry that stuff.
Our best bet is the schools -- if you've got a connection there, please
check it out and let me know. Likewise, if you know somebody who knows
somebody whose second aunt's sister's dog's owner has field-lining
equipment.
thanks,
Matt
Hey all --
Good news, we should have showers available for Solstice so you won't have
to buy a crate of Irish Spring to make sure the team you host is all fresh
and -- whistle here -- clean as a whistle.
Bad news, about 100 incoming players will be sleeping under the Ferry Street
Bridge unless I get some major hospitality going here. Thanks to all those
who have stepped forward to house visiting teams; still need a bunch more.
Please let me know if you can house players, and how many ...
thankee,
Matt

FROM PAT'S CRAZY WIFE WENDY:
I have hijacked Pat's e-mail! I am hoping someone can help.
I am de-burdening us of my addictive shopping habits; ie. we are having a GARAGE
UN-SALE!!!
I need to haul stuff from our house at 2330 PARK RIDGE LANE ( top of MacLean),
to CREST DRIVE elememtary school between 8-10am.
If you can help haul stuff over, that would be great.
Just grab whatever is near the garage & front door (we may be at the school).
At Crest Drive, just let people know that you are dropping stuff off & you can
get through the gate before 10am.
IF YOU NEED "STUFF", COME & GET IT!!!! EVERYTHING IS ABSOLUTELY FREE (donations
for the school are welcome)
thanks!!
