We would appreciate it if you could forward this information to every one in
your area who might be interested. Please note that ANY ultimate player is
eligible to apply for consideration. Please note that due to the fact that we
were a bit later posting the application form on the UPA web site, it is very
likely the deadline (currently posted on the UPA web site) for both coach and
player applications will be extended.
UPA announces Application/Selection Process for the 2005 World Games Team USA
athletes and coach(es).
Once again, the UPA will be choosing a "select" team to represent the UPA and
the United States at the World Games. A total squad of 17 (men and women)
will be selected (11 members and 6 alternates). After careful consideration, the
UPA has also determined that high level coaching will enhance the probability
for success of the 2005 US World Games team. As such, the UPA hopes to
identify an individual(s) to coach this select team.
Any ultimate athlete/coach who believes he/she can fulfill the ideals set
forth in the applicable World Games US Player or Coach Mission Statement, agrees
to the guidelines established by the UPA, WFDF and IWGA, AND completes the
Application posted on the UPA web site, is eligible for consideration. For more
information on the World Games, the application process and to access both the
player and Coach application, please visit the UPA web site at:

Thanks for sharing this with your respective team contacts and others who
might be interested.
