so, this is the nature of email-announced pickup in eugene lately. there are no
'organizers' other than whoever decides to promote a game, and there is no set
'advance notice' other than the whim of the organizer.so i would say either a)
announce a game wherever you want it, whenever you want it, as far in advance as
you want to, orb) let's pick a day and time (could be a couple of them as in the
past) for REGULAR pickup. maybe saturday at noon at 24th and polk? or c)
bothare many folks interested in a regular pickup game? saturday seems popular,
but what about thursday evening around 530?sean p

Hi,



I subscribed to the Eugene Ultimate list a few months ago hoping to learn about
pickup games here. So far, games have only been announced a few hours in
advance. I receive the list in daily digest form, so I usually don't receive
the announcements until after the game has happened. Even if I had been getting
individual messages in real time, I probably would have missed the games because
I am often away from e-mail for more than a day at a stretch.



Would the organizers of these games be able to provide more advance notice of
them? Are they already announced elsewhere? Or does the impromptu nature of
pickup make that kinda thing impossible? Will pickup games probably happen more
regularly come summer?
