Hey guys. I just made some updates to the mailing list to avoid the
spam. Sorry I didn't get to it sooner but I hadn't checked this
email address in a few weeks.
I have banned all of the members that spammed the list and changed
the list so it requires moderator approval to join the list (and
therefore post the first time).
Currently Christine and I are the moderators. That means that if
somebody new tries to join we will get an email to "approve" them.
Once they have been approved they can post all they want.
This should eliminate the mass spamming but it does cause a problem
that people new to the area or just visting won't be able to
immediately post - and we may deny them if we don't recognize the
email address or name. I guess that's just something we'll need to
deal with to eliminate spam.
Also, if anybody who checks email very regularly would like to be a
moderator, I can add you. Just drop me an email.
