These were posted on the US group site. The general rules applies to
the classes added by the local chapters. This being the super stock
class in your case.
The following build changes will be included in the 2006 rulebook.
These changes will all be required by the first USLMRA points race
weekend in the Calendar year 2006. Currently this date will be the
first weekend in February.
General Rules
· No liquid cooled engines in any class.
· Front and rear axles must use original frame as primary
mounting point.
· All mowers must utilize a clutch within the driveline.
· Unmodified stock or 100% billet flywheels are required.
· Fuel lines must be clamped at all joints.
. The "Fenders may be discreetly moved but not altered" will be
moved from GENERAL MOWER REQUIRMENTS to PREPARED rules section.
Stock
· Maximum 15 PSI tire pressure.
Imow
· Maximum 15 PSI tire pressure.
· All steering linkages must use ball-type or spherical
threaded rod ends
· Engines must be stock and complete. After market, consumable
parts such as air filters and spark plugs may be used as long as
they are a direct stock replacement.
· Footholds must be discrete, and no more than 2" high, made of
flat or "L" stock (no rod stock), and made such that
the foot can not become entangled in a rollover.
Prepared
· Washers with new cotter pins are no longer acceptable for
securing front wheels.
· Must use axle mounted brakes, no lawnmower transaxle or
transmission mounted brakes.
· A/P: Valve-in block 4 stroke medium frame engines 8.5hp and
under with a maximum original displacement of 22 cubic inches and
under.
FX
· Must use axle mounted brakes, no lawnmower transaxle or
transmission mounted brakes
These are the changes that affect the "build" portion of the rule
book.
