I want to take a moment to thank, all those that come over to Atomic
Speedway for the test and tune. We got a new member, and some new
mowers and MANY potentials, I want to Thank Len Stewart and his
family for coming, and Todd Mobley and his driver Poindexter for
coming both from the MTLMRA. I want to Thank Rodney and his Wife for
thier hospitality for the weekend. They put us up and took good care
of all in attendance. The test and tune was a wash out so we all
headed back to Rodney's house for a cookout for those that came. The
track operaters invited us to come back Sunday evening and put on a
show for the spectators and racers. Len Stewart and family and Myself
and family decided to stay over to give Rodney and the ETLMRA some
support and to get the chance to run around Atomic. The track had a
huge amount of racers show up so our track time was short. But during
intermission the fences were standing room only as we hit the track,
We ran all together we had 3 ap's one SP, and two BP's. The crowd
loved us and the racers also loved us. We just didn't get enough
track time to get the feel of the track to really get wound up. It
was fast and smooth on the straights but the corners were a bit
rough!!! But I think the ETLMRA is off on a good foot. Thanks again
and really enjoyed the weekend.
