(Quick note to those who were wondering -- Cherry Flip is the UK name
for a toe loop, or a Mapes as roller skaters call it.

Samantha,

It looks like the EIFSA are adopted from the UK ice tests somehow,
then.(You never answered my question about whether all bronze
elements were in one test or not. In US ice skating, the adult track
-- which is the only one that has bronze, silver and gold levels --
is just one test at each level, so I was assuming these were similar.
I see that the UK tests are several bronze tests, several silver,
etc., more like the way the RSA designates roller skating tests here.
So maybe that is what you meant. If so, please clarify how the tests
would work. The Basic Skills as one test, the Jumps as one test,
etc.?)

How have these tests been adapted to take in consideration the
differences between inline and ice? Some moves are relatively harder
on inlines than on ice (salchows, loops, camel spins, etc.).

Have these tests taken this into consideration?

Should some elements in Bronze be moved up to Silver and others moved
down?

Regarding my comment earlier that some elements should not be
required since physical restrictions make them impossible for large
numbers of people -- I notice that those elements (spread eagles and
layback spins) are optional, not required, in the UK tests. I think
this is appropriate.

The EIFSA tests seem better than the proposed RSA tests (which,
frankly, are absolutely horrible), but I think they still need a lot
of work. But this is normal for a new proposal, I would think.
I say all this not to be troublesome, but to provide feedback from a
real inline figure skater who has thought at some length about these
issues.
