Speaker: John Bates (noted author and guide)

John has been a naturalist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural
Resources and now owns Trails North, a naturalist interpretive guide
service. He is the author of Trailside Botany: 101 Favorite Trees,
Shrubs, and Wildflowers of the Upper Midwest. He and his wife live
in Mercer, Wisconsin.

John will present a slide show and talk on north woods topics,
including spring wildflowers and north woods birds.

A short business meeting with trail updates will follow John's
presentation.
