Mark your calendars and pack your bags, the Spring City Cycling Club Summer races are back July 18 and 19 with a brilliant new course, new State Hill-climb championship and $11000 in cash and prizes.

 

July 18, Saturday

Alabama State Road Race Championship, New Hope, Alabama.  We’re returning to New Hope with a new 20-mile loop through scenic Madison county.   The course is mostly flat to rolling with a short, tough and selective hill about three miles from the line…  And a real, live finish line on Main Street, USA.

 

Alabama State Hill Climb Championship – New Hope-Simpson Point TT.  3.8 mile time trial with a 1-mile, 10.6-percent average finishing ascent.   Win this and you’re the best mountain goat in the state.

 

July 19, Sunday

Mellow Mushroom Criterium, Huntsville, Alabama.  It’s the perennial favorite curvy and fast course through Downtown Huntsville.  Shady, spectator-friendly course.

 

ERC Kids Rocket Races – Short fun races for kids up to age 12.  Races start at 11:30 and run throughout the day.

 

$11000 total cash and prize purse

 

$2000 Omnium
