The 2007 Spring City Cycling Club Spring Training Series is back!

 

Need a tune-up race to test your form for April?  Join us in Huntsville on March 10, 31 and April 7 for three races on two new courses.

 

We’ve retired our old Conoco (Airport) Race Course, but we’ve found some good racing to the west and east.

 

Come to Huntsville for some wide open racing for the low, low price of $10 per race ($24 for all three).

March 10, 2007 - Swancott Grocery Road Race

 

Class A Riders (Cat 1-3) - 6 laps (42 miles)

Class B Riders (Cat 4 & 5) - 4 laps (28 miles)

Course Description: Fast 7 mile loop with a few short hills near the Huntsville Airport

 

Directions: From I-565, take exit 8 onto Wall Triana South. Continue 3.5 miles and turn left onto

Wall Triana (Boeing Boulevard continues straight). Go 1.6 miles and turn right into the Northrop

Grumman parking lot. Parking and staging will be at the Northrop Grumman facility.

 

March 31 & April 7, 2007 - New Hope Road Race

 

Class A Riders (Cat 1-3) - 3 laps (39 miles)

Class B Riders (Cat 4 & 5) - 2 laps (26 miles)

Course Description: 13 mile loop with a couple of large rolling hills. One technical turn.

 

Directions: From Huntsville (West): Head east on US 431 (Governor’s Drive). In 16 miles, turn left

onto Old 431/Main Street in New Hope. Continue 1.5 miles and turn into the high school parking lot.

Parking and staging will be at New Hope High School. From Scottsboro (East): Take US 72 West

and drive past Woodville/Cathedral Caverns Highway). Go 3.5 miles, turn left onto CR5/New Hope-

Cedar Point Road. In 9 miles, turn right on College Avenue. Go 0.3 miles, through stop sign, and

continue straight onto Main Drive/Old US 431. Go 0.5 miles and turn into the high school parking lot.

Parking and staging will be at New Hope High School.
