SCCC Michael Olheiser All-You-Can-Eat Century - Sep. 16   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #14 of 371 |

You read it correctly.  We’re so proud of our homeboy, Michael Olheiser, for winning the UCI Masters 30-35 World TT Championships in Salzburg we renamed our 2006 All-You-Can-Eat Century ride in his honor.  Mike will be sporting his brand new Rainbow Jersey when we start from Madison County High School in Gurley, AL this Saturday, September 16.  He’s a great guy, a classy champion and we are tickled to death that he makes Huntsville his home.  Join us as we say congratulations to a local racer Cat-1 who has “done good!”

This year’s All-You-Can-Eat Century is an improvement over previous editions thanks to some opportune road construction.  The infamous “biker-eating bridge” has been torn down and we have found some very nice roads for the detour.  We’ve added even more scenery to an already gorgeous ride.

We’ll have our usual four well-placed rest stops, well-marked routes (Taking notes, Birmingham Bicycle Club?) and, of course, the classic All-You-Can-Eat pasta dinner after the ride.

All this, and a chance to chase the Rainbow Jersey for only $20!  Sign up now at http://www.springcity.org/century/.

We’ll see y’all Saturday!

What:  2006 “Michael Olheiser – World Champion” All-You-Can-Eat Century

Where:  Madison County High School, Gurley Alabama (10 minutes east of Huntsville on US 72.)

When:  Saturday, September 16, 8 AM.  Registration opens at 7 AM.

What Else:  25, 50, 62, 90 and 102-mile options.  Apres’-ride pasta meal.
