NEXT MEETING AUGUST 14
BRAG Riders Cindy Wall, Kim Scarbrough and others will share their experiences. Bike Detailing might also be on the agenda. We'll make final plans for the upcoming Century.
The July meetings were a great success. Thank you to the Felkey's for graciously hosting a well-attended Tour de France pot luck dinner event.
August meeting, 7P at Health Resource.
The East Alabama Cycling Club is for riders of all types and abilities. The club meets at 7p on the second Thursday of the month at the Health Resource Center, 2027 Pepperell Parkway, in Opelika, diagonally across from the East Alabama Medical Center. See the 2008 tentative meeting schedule in "Files."
EACC started in the spring of 2003 to promote cycling and to push for a Rails-to-Trails restoration of the old railbed, which carried the Johnny Ray railroad that traveled from Opelika to Lafayette and Roanoke in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The club century, held annually on the last Saturday of September, commemorates the train and its engineer.
