i will do that. i dragged my father in law into it last year (69 years
old). he was third from last and luckily for me he is just getting
slower each year. As well i will pay someone to be last, so we dont have
to go home in shame.

I called that pub down near the Kroger, Timmy's. (on Jett Ferry
Road) I asked if they will be screening the Tour de France on
Tuesday night. Someone named Scott sounded as positive as he could
over the din of the baseball game. Why don't we meet there and
watch. It will be fun or maybe just different. During the
thousands of commercials we can catch up on a baseball game.

Please RSVP 'cause I'm not going by myself.

long way to drive, but a nice group of guys. many of you may remember that paramedics pulled vic (mikes brother) out of the back door window of a suburban a few months back. i think this is the metric of the cartersville century. intermediate pace may be stretching it a bit (your results may vary). my only beef was the number of loose dogs.   ps. cartecay & mike are tops for mtn biking.

long way to drive, but a nice group of guys. many of you may remember that paramedics pulled vic (mikes brother) out of the back door window of a suburban a few months back. i think this is the metric of the cartersville century. intermediate pace may be stretching it a bit (your results may vary). my only beef was the number of loose dogs.   ps. cartecay & mike are tops for mtn biking.

Not sure if everyone's been following today's TDF coverage.  Don't miss the OLN replay tonight.  Landis is on a mission to wear yellow again.

for those that hevent noticed we have added a 20 mile option for the 730... dan, though this is exceeds the ride you were able to complete last week, if you realy apply yourself you can be the ride leader for that leg.

Are any of you guys planning to do the Six Gap Century in September?  If so, it would be great if you could share any training tips you might have.  Scott Hudson, Phil, and I rode the back gaps on Saturday.  Jacks Gap was a little steeper than we were expecting; Unicoi was fairly easy; Hogpen definitely lived up to its reputation.  That 2.4 mile section in the middle is a real bear.  The descent down the back side of Hogpen is insanely fast.  We topped out at around 52 mph . . . and I never let go of the brakes.

In case any of you have not seen the elevation profile of the back gaps, below is the profile from our ride on Saturday.  The blue line represents my speed; the red line is my suffering (HR).

Chris
