Hey, gang.  I wanted to give a huge shoutout to a tack store online.  Horseloverz.com (equiteric on Ebay) has some great buys on blankets.  Well all kinds of stuff, really.  But On Nov 2 I won a blanket for my mare and did a buy it now on ebay for a blanket for my yearling to get the discounted shipping.

The big blanket got here, but the baby blanket did not.  I started stressing.  Then I got mad.  We had Ida rains coming through the Carolinas for THREE days and my baby didn't have a waterproof blanket.

I contacted Horseloverz.com yesterday to inquire about the second blanket.  Which was a 69 inch and not that easy to find.  They told me they had run out of that size, and were still trying to get a shipment in from Abetta (the supplier).  However, they said they would make it right and next day air my blanket.

UPS was just here with a beautiful 69 inch Tough-1 brand blanket even in the color that I wanted.

Yeah, companies make mistakes.  But these guys went above and beyond to make it right.  BTW, I paid $30 for the 76 inch blanket and $25 for the 69 inch.  Both brand new.

I know, this is a shameless, blatant promotion of a company.  But not a company who is a client of mine or who I get any sort of compensation for plugging.  I just wanted to share with the people I ride with and the lists that I participate on that include riders, drill team foks, and horse lovers of every sort to let you know that there is an awesome company out there who still believes in taking care of their customers.  I've been buying products from these folks for nearly two years.  Everything from saddles and tack to brushes and treats and accesories for the barn.  They are wonderful to do business with.  I highly, highly recommend them.  Anyone who would spend lord knows how much money to overnight at a blanket to a panicky horse mama because the weather is getting cold and we are getting tons of rain deserves to be recognized within the equestrian community.

Most of the time we only pipe up to complain about lousy service or crappy delivery times or high costs.  Once in a great while, a company does a good enough job of taking care of their customers that they deserve a huge word of mouth "attaboy" too.

If you sign up for their email list, they send out a daily deal nearly every day.  Might be a sale on Ariats, Weatherbeeta, a free Gatsby Girl jacket with purchase, dollar days deals, free shipping, etc.  And there is always a horsey trivia fact at the bottom of the emails.  I have to tell you.  I've been around horses more years than I care to admit.  But four out of 7 days the trivia is news to me.

Need info on Emerald Transport Company - Please respond ASAP

Need info on Emerald Transport Company: Please send replies directly to idahonc@...
Perhaps someone you know used them. I think they may do cross country transports so please ask this question to your friends and list groups. I need this ASAP, please.

This is what I need to know:
  1. Has anyone used them?
  2. What kind of results did they get?
  3. Were the horses delivered on time and in good condition?
  4. Was the experience a bad one. If so, why?
  5. Details about the experience: "I used them and I will use them again because," or "I used them and will never use them again because."
  6. Anything else you think someone considering using this company should know.
WHAT I DO KNOW

I found their website and did several others who have replied, and thank you all who have.
Emerald Horse Transportation - Nationwide, Enumclaw, WA

More info from the website: Apparently they are new in the business, only since '07, but with 10 years experience with another transport company, and experience in trucking.  Their primary vehicle is a 2008 Volvo semi, with a horse van trailer.

THANK YOU!
