Raccoon River Riders will be riding in a Fourth of July Celebration Parade in Yale, Iowa,in our patriotic colors. Also following the parade along with many other events in town the Yale Saddle Club has their annual Trophy Show which we will be performing at for our 8th year.

July 25 in Cookeville TN is a Drill Competition with a fun night and coaching/judging clinic on Friday the 24th. Hope some teams can attend.

I am compiling an e-mail list of drill team contacts so I can forward competition and clinic information. Please send me Team name, contact name and number and e-mail if you would like to be added.

FYI, These are not USEDA Sanctioned clinics. Have a good time and support Drill.

The clinic is a two - three hour session including tips for coaching and how to improve your scores, by knowing what judges look for. It will be taught by USEDA judges, including a Q& A session. This is part of our competition weekend, and is intended to be informative and fun. We are trying to promote the sport of Equestrian Drill in TN, and by having information available, hopefully people will see how much fun being a part of a team can be.

This will really be helpful for teams needing information and will improve their

understanding about USEDA rules and Judging. Be sure to attend as it should be

very informative. If we have much more fun with drill, they will make it illegal

in all 50 states and territories.

Lone Star Cowgirls celebrated July 4th by performing at the American Paint Horse

Association World Show at the Will Rogers Equestrian Center, Fort Worth, Texas. 

We all ride paints and this was our 3rd consecutive performance there at the

finals!  Had a great time and finished early enough that we got to enjoy the

huge fireworks display in Fort Worth.
