Clover, SC – June 7, 2009 – June 27th afternoon event means music, exhibitions, fun, and horses for the whole family!
Barn manager Caitlin Fletcher and community developer Bobby Yon invite the entire area community to spend a fun summer afternoon of food and music, riding exhibitions and pony rides, drill team performances and grand prix jumping, a silent auction and a community food drive at the new equestrian community Iron Gate on Ridge Road in Clover, SC.
Caitlin Fletcher, formerly of Competitive Edge and the Palisades Equestrian Center is hosting an open house and fun filled afternoon at her new riding center in Clover, SC. Nestled in the rolling countryside just south of Gastonia, Iron Gate Farms offers wholesome fun for the whole family. Ms. Fletcher rides, teaches, and trains hunt seat riders of all experience levels ranging from the very young to adults. Western riding instruction is also available. The farm is providing summer riding camps to the community and culminating the first week of day camp with a Saturday afternoon open house on June 27th from 3 PM until 9 PM.
The grand opening and open house will highlight services offered at Iron Gate Farms as well as lots and homes available in the gated equestrian community. Exhibitions by locally and nationally recognized riders will include English and Western disciplines, jumping horses and drill teams, Paso Fino horses and polo horses, natural Parelli horsemanship, and the Clover High School Winter Guard performing their award winning show entitled “Wild Horses”.
Food and beverages will be available and booths will highlight local equine rescue organizations. Music, pony rides, and a petting zoo will round out the afternoon for the young and the young at heart.
Realtors, home builders, and riders will be on hand all afternoon to take you on tours of the property, the bridle trails, and the barn. Featuring 30 custom home sites the Iron Gate Community is a haven for horses and horse lovers, a barn and a neighborhood where children play in 40 acres of backyard and residents enjoy horses grazing in the pastures. Complete with a tranquil pond and a beautiful bamboo forest the community is a lovely place to spend the afternoon or the rest of your life. Located five minutes from Lake Wylie and thirty minutes from Charlotte, the community is a short drive away.
A charitable silent auction will feature gifts for the rider and the horse lover to raise money for a Friesian filly named Brooklyn’s OCD surgery and donations will be accepted for the Clover Caring Center’s food pantry. Please bring non-perishable food items to the grand opening.
Bobby Yon and Caitlin Fletcher look forward to sharing a fun afternoon with you at Iron Gate Community
