Hi All,

 

At our Mar. 1st, Mid-west Equine Drill Team meeting, held at West 20 Ranch and Saddle Co., East Troy WI, you all said you wanted to begin the initial work on chartering a new Region for Drill Team activities and competitions in this part of the country.  We have scheduled a date and place for that first organizational meeting.  All teams are welcome to participate and send one member as a team representative, this includes new teams and 4H teams.

 

 

This meeting is organizational and designed to establish some simple goals.  We need to ask the question who is interested in becoming part of a Mid-west equine drill region in terms of sharing ideas, mentoring and information.  What can/should this group do to improve the quality and increase interest in the sport of equine drill.

 

At the Mar. 1st meeting, we agreed in the future to meet quarterly and that each interested team should designate one member to attend meetings and report back to the team.  We agreed that one of our goals was to keep the fun in drill.  We should never get to the point where we would become overwhelmed with rules and/or procedures.  On the other hand we all needed to agree on some standards that would give all teams an opportunity to have fun and compete as equals based on size, age, experience, etc.
