The Georgia Horse Council is very excited to be offering, for the
first time, a sanctioned Mounted Drill
Team Competition! This event will take place May 19, 2007 at the
Covered Arena Harness Racing Facility in
Hawkinsville, GA. Attached you will find the entry forms and the
rules for this event. You will need to purchase
the United States Equestrian Drill Association (USEDA) manual in
order to have ALL the rules for each class.
Please go to http://useda.us to order your manual. Please note that
if you are participating in the Compulsory
drill, you will need to use the enclosed drill pattern. Please also
note that we have changed our fees. Fees
are less if you are a GHC member. Each team can join as an
Association for $50.00. I have enclosed a
membership application for your use if you choose to become a member.
Registration and check-in will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 18. No
horses will be stalled prior to 1:00 PM,
Friday, May 18. In order to be admitted you will need to show your
current negative Coggins certificate. Music
and introduction must be turned in by 9 AM Saturday, May 19 to the
Georgia Horse Council registration table.
Introduction must be typed (no hand written introductions will be
accepted). If not turned in by 9 AM, your
team will be penalized 3 points. An announcer will be available. We
will allow one person from the team to be
present in the announcer booth during the introduction of your team.
A sign-up sheet for practice times on Friday, May 18 in the arena
will be available at registration. We are also
offering an Exhibition (dress rehearsal) on Saturday morning from 7
AM - 9 AM. The charge for this is $25.00
per team. You will be allowed six minutes. If you are late for your
allotted time, you will be disqualified and
forfeit your $25.00. The Opening Ceremony will start at 9:30 AM sharp.

$68.00, Regular, king and double rate
