we had a great time at the May 7th St. Jude Trail Ride!  Smokey (Roberts Mare) raised $285 in donations/pledges!!  I think the grand total for the Ride donations/pledges was around $3,000.00!!!

 

i have not had the chance to get the pics developed from my 35mm, i will get that done this week, i promise.  when i do i'll scan them and post them on my groups (links to those are at the bottom of this message as an automatic signature).

 

the kids took some pics using my digital camera that day.  sorry but they ran out of batteries only a few pictures into the day and as you may notice, did not take any pics of our horses, LOL.  but i do have lots of other pics, i'll get those done and up ASAP.

 

Stephen got to ride Smokey for a few minutes around the parking lot and got to ride doubles on her with Robert for a while.  Tyra got to ride doubles with Robert on Smokey and with one of our boarders Crussie on his gelding Thunder for a while too.  AND I FINALLY JUMPED UP ON A HORSE AFTER ALMOST 2 MONTHS!!!  don't worry it wasn't Tue, it was on Smokey, i was very very careful with my broken foot.  it took 2 guys to get me up on that BIG MARE (16.3 hands) with my crippled butt, LOL.  i rode her for about 15 minutes and she did very good, never spooked about my big black boot on the broken foot at all and put up with me not being able to sit her right due to the fact i was so off balance with that thing hanging out there and i was sloshing around in Roberts 16 inch saddle (i ride a 14 inch) with no way to use stirrups, LOL.
