If there is snow on mainstreet OROR, the best bet is NorthShore and hope the PO is died back a bit. Could opt to climb School Creek to see if we could get the bottom of NS Tie.

Here is info about a trailwork project this weekend with Friends of Ridgeline
and the City of Eugene. Although the trails we'll be working on are closed to
bikes, please come out and help. I am encouraging the local MTB community to
make more efforts to build relationships with the other trail users in town, and
this will be a great opportunity to work side by side with Obsidians, Friends of
Ridgeline, and City staff. We can show off our trail maintenance skills, and
show that we care about our local parks.

Wear a MTB shirt if you have one. It would be even better if you wear your
DOD shirts. The Spencer Butte trails are great for hiking, and lead to the
best views in town. Bring your family! RSVP if you can, but show up even if you
don't RSVP.

Here's the announcement:
Friends of the Ridgeline and the City of Eugene are having a special planting
project on Saturday, November 14th at 9:00 AM, meeting at the Spencer Butte
parking lot. We will be installing native plants and construction fencing at the
site with the new rock on the main trail. Please dress for Oregon's changeable
weather and for working in muddy conditions. Looks like the weather could be
rainy and cool.. what fun!

The City Volunteers in the Parks program will provide tools, gloves, directions
and a snack. No experience is necessary.
An RSVP to lorna.j.baldwin@... is very helpful for our planning! We
usually finish in 3 hours or less but feel free to leave as you need to.

Coffee black, no sweetner, surger, honey, half & half or Davey Cream please... Black will just do me, mighty, dandy and geniunely fine with the french blonde from Paris near the street benches of downtown Paris.

I don't see anything on that page explaining why Splenda is bad for
you. As far as I know, nobody really knows if it is bad for you or not.
There's plenty of speculation, but most of it seems to be along the
lines of "it's not natural, so it must be bad."

What's wrong with plain old sugar anyway? Only 15 calories per
teaspoon. Personally I prefer the unrefined stuff (aka "raw sugar".)
All things in moderation, of course.

I like the quote below from Sammy's link:

These words are in the link you provided, Sammy:

"All sweetener packets are at least 96 percent sugar.  Splenda is 99% sugar."

This was stated after it went on to say Splenda is made "in the presence of" a whole bunch of chemicals that I don't know anything about. What does "in the presence of" mean? The Splenda and the chemicals are in the same room? It didn't say whether the chemicals were good for me or bad for me. Anyway if Splenda is 99% sugar, I guess it can't be that bad, although I guess I might as well just buy sugar because sugar is a lot cheaper than Splenda. Sugar is organic, right? Splenda didn't sound organic, but it sure has a friendly, happy name.

Sugar... okay?

Isn't one of the side effects of Splenda, "anal leakage"?
