Re: SOSA FOR GREEN DEAD

I've heard the same thing... about Green to ARI for a couple of
players (depending on the Randy Johnson trade).

I would think the CUBS would be better trying to pair Sammy with the
NYM instead, since he has ties to people in that organization. If
the METS are willing to deal with Pedro they may be inclined to
handle Sammy as well.
The problem with that might be their interest in trying to steal
Beltran from the NYY. The CUBS best bet may be to offer Sosa for
C.Floyd while selling to the METS that Beltran would become a CUB
instead of a YANKEE.

CUBS lineup could be:
1b D.Lee
2b T.Walker
ss N.Garciaparra
3b A.Ramirez
LF C.Floyd
CF C.Patterson
RF C.Beltran
C M.Barrett

this trade may be related to the Johnson to NY deal, it is not
dependen on that trade. This crushes the thought that the Chicago
Cubs may have had plans for a deal that would send former slugger
Sammy Sosa to the Giants for the aging Green.
