Cub execs interest in winning....

well,

I am the biggest Cub fan in the world, but refused to go to
a game last year after we did not go out and SECURE A
CLOSER FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR. That showed me they
were not serious in spending extra money... That pissed me
off....

Now they are doing the same here in this offseason...

They should have gotten beltran and called it a day...
Like I said in an earlier email...Get beltran for the long
term...Sosa's gone after next year... Do not understand
"THE EXECS"

Happy New Year...

The Cubs will not be able to move Sammy Sosa soon enough to enter the Carlos Beltran sweepstakes but they may be able to land another free agent outfielder....

We all know what Mariotti is all about. He couldn't say anything positive if he tried. If the Cubs paid $20 million a year for Beltran I would be very peeved....

I would love to get Ordonez: Anyone know his physical status? A Healthy Ordonez is comparible to Beltran in RBI's, OBP. Ordonez has the edge in Average. But...

Jim, I respectfully disagree with you on Beltran's worth. Is he worth 20M a year? No, but then nobody is. That being said, he is young and will only get...
