I haven't seen anyone post unofficial season disks or players or stuff like that
on this site yet, but would like to share if at all possible. I currently have
about
125 teams (the two earlier all-time best teams put out by DMB, as well as
several others that my friends and I wanted that DMB put together for us), and
have found a couple of Web sites that have other user-created leagues and
players. I'd be willing to post whatever I have if people are so interested, and
if
people are willing to do the same so we can all have a greater database of
teams and players. Just not sure how to do it right now, because I never had
to worry about posting it before (or importing it into my database). Is there a
way to import team-by-team instead of creating an entirely new database for
each team I bring in? Anyway, like I said, I have a few teams, am getting more
daily, and am willing to share.

I currently have one opening in my DMB league, with another opening
possibly imminent. We are a realisitic, centralized league with a
unique set of rules and in the process of debating a new financial
model to switch to. We have a great group of owners, so if you're
dedicated, passionate about baseball and have a good knowledge of
the game and DMB, feel free to check out our website
(http://nabl.zarras.net) and e-mail me if interested
(commish@...).
I might be missing something but I can't find much information on when pitchers tire, how to tell if they are tired, etc. How does the game handle this. Especially I'm wondering about starting a guy every 4th day instead of every 5th.
Hello:
I run the Sports Attic which is a simulation participation site for
Football and Baseball leagues. We currently are preparing for our
Baseball season which uses DMB 8.0. We have plenty of openings in
our leagues and if you would like to check us out, you can find us at:
http://www.sportsattic.com/
Our baseball leagues ARE NOT head to head, but we run a very
interactive website that allows teams to manage, trade, lineup
changes and basically everything a GM or Coach would do.
Just an FYI we do have league dues.
Chad
Sports Attic
It typically takes me 15-20 minutes to play a game depending on the game.
If its a blow out and you are just trying to get through the game, less than
15. Close game and lots of situations to deal with, a little longer. Just
like real baseball.
I think the game is real easy to use and also makes for a great database for
mlb stats that you can sort though and create your own custom reports.

The CBA is looking for very high quality owners for an
open position, and positions that may be open in the
future.
The Continental Baseball Association can be reached at
http://www.cbabaseball.com
The CBA has been an active running league since
September of 1996. The games are played on DMB via the
commissioner.
The league is run with a realistic tone in mind. We do
not have any "Beertown Ball-bashers" in out league.
Each team runs in a realistic market and do not jump
from city to city at each new owners whim.
Teams compete in the usual full season schedule, but
also have a full complement of minor league players
bringing each team to a organization roster of 160
players. To give an example, the full database of all
CBA personnel consists of over 5,000 active and
recently active players.
Teams participate in two drafts each year, one being
the amateur draft which does allow each team to draft
40-50 players (only the first 5 or 6 rounds are
selected individually). A supplemental draft in the
winter ties up loose ends from non-drafted free
agents. We are currently holding a Rule 5 draft this
season, along with modified system for 6 year minor
league free agency.
Players are salaried, with some signed into the next
decade. We include no trade clauses, options, buyouts
and genuine negotiation for players.
The current squad of teams ranks in at 24. For the
best owners in the league, the CBA is our main hobby.
We are looking for potential owners who will
participate with the same zeal as we do.
This is not a league for part timers. The public
forums for the league generate 50-60 e-mails a month
during the off season. For someone in my position, I
will get 100-200 e-mails a month regarding the league.
This does not include our activity over ICQ, which is
always buzzing.
If you are interested, and feel that you can meet the
level of our league, you can contact us by mailing to
apply@...
hey all-

The MLBA is starting our 3rd season. We need reliable owners who want to be a part of a great league for a long time. We are currently in the midst of some reorganization and want to find the right guys who want to form a rock solid league. We currently have some great teams available.
The Yankees (finished 2nd in our 2002 season)
The Cubs
The Indians
The Blue Jays
The Royals
The Giants
We are getting ready for our draft so if you have an interest please contact me soon.
I am getting a new Mac to replace my PC in the next few days. I've
heard Virtual PC will work with it. Any suggestions or pitfalls I
should be aware of?
Thanks,
Tom

I currently have one opening in my league, with another most likely
on its way. I am looking for an active, knowledgable, individual who
joins leagues for the long haul, preferrably with DMB experience, to
take over these teams. This is a great league with a great bunch of
owners. A lot of time and work goes into this league and if you look
at the website, you can see the results - a great league that is a
lot of fun and a rewarding challenge for all its owners. If you are
interested, please contact me ASAP.

Go to the Diamond Mind website and check out the league page. There are
several links to leagues from their site. Many of the league sites have
their rules posted. I am currently playing in the Simulated Baseball League
of San Antonio and the MLBA. Both have excellant websites that can be found
at www.diamond-mind.com.
For the most part, in league play you manage your team for either its home
or away games depending on your league rules. The computer manages the
other team based on the manager profiles (line ups, pitching rotation, depth
charts, etc) that each owner sets up.
I have been playing fantasy baseball for several years also, but have found
playing computer baseball to be more enjoyable. Loved playing the
Strat-O-Matic board game as a kid, and really enjoy the ease of playing
Diamond Mind now that I am a "responsible adult"!!!!

Hello All,
I just ordered Diamond Mind v8. I have been into fantasy baseball
for a couple years now. I am wondering how Diamond Mind leagues
work. Are these individual managers competing in strategy against
other managers, or is it a compilation of recorded games played
against the computer managers?
I've very interested in how this works and would hope to get into a
league next season after I'm a little more familiar with the
interface.
Thanks
