Any good primers out on the web for creating season disks for DMB?

As a fairly new user of DMB, I wonder if there are postseason modules
that have the correct rosters to start a replay of playoffs?

As a member of this group, I want to invite everyone to my free
Yahoo fantasy baseball league. We are playing head-to-head scoring
and the draft is Thursday night, 3/25/04 at 7 pm. Please join and we

The CBA is looking for very high quality owners for an
open position, and positions that may be open in the
future.

The Continental Baseball Association can be reached at

The CBA has been an active running league since
September of 1996. The games are played on one
computer via the commissioner.

The league is run with a realistic tone in mind. We do
not have any "Beertown Ball-bashers" in out league.
Each team runs in a realistic market and do not jump
from city to city at each new owners whim.

Teams compete in the usual full season schedule, but
also have a full complement of minor league players
bringing each team to a organization roster of 175
players. To give an example, the full database of all
CBA personnel consists of over 7,000 active and
recently active players.

Teams participate in two drafts each year, one being
the amateur draft which does allow each team to draft
40-50 players (only the first 7 or 8 rounds are
selected individually). A supplemental draft in the
winter ties up loose ends from non-drafted free
agents.  We also hold a Rule 5 draft, along with
modified system for 6 year minor league free agency.

Players are salaried, with some signed into the next
decade. We include no trade clauses, options, buyouts
and genuine negotiation for players.

The current squad of teams ranks in at 24. For the
best owners in the league, the CBA is our main hobby.
We are looking for potential owners who will
participate with the same zeal as we do.

This is not a league for part timers. The public
forums for the league generate 50-60 e-mails a month
during the off season. For someone in my position, I
will get 100-200 e-mails a month regarding the league.
This does not include our activity over ICQ, which is
always buzzing.

If there are 7 deadly sins in Simulated Baseball, I committed the
biggest one.  I shut my league down for a year (I was really busy
last winter).  Anyhow, now I'm trying to start things up and I have
some great teams open now.

i have a roster file that i'm regularly updating. it doesn't have
exact 2003 stats, but players are rated pretty realistically based on
how well they'd do in a typical major league season. rosters are
updated as of mid-October, and i'll likely be updating this through
the offseason and maybe even into next season. the site i have it
posted on is geocities.com/mrgoettl, also at
files.simcentral.net/index under the diamond mind 8 roster files
under the name "mr. anonymous"

also, from searching the internet i've found virtually nothing in the
way of user-created major league rosters past 1927, minor league
rosters, etc. i've created rosters for high heat and several other
games, and the "communities" for those games were very active in
roster creation. it's shocking that diamond mind users seem content
giving diamond mind so much money for disks with one little database.
i know creating players and setting up leagues is an enormous chore
(maybe the creators designed it that way on purpose) but it would be
nice if anyone out there had any recent diamond mind files out there.

Hello everyone.
Just wondering why  I'm not getting e-mail from the group.

The North American Baseball League is currently seeking three owners
for expansion franchises in addition to the one we already have on-
board. Please note, this is not for a casual DMBer. We require
committment and dedication, and would prefer someone with a strong
knowledge of the minor leagues, experience building and/or
rebuilding teams, and who has read both our rules and the link
titled "The New System" on our webpage: http://nabl.zarras.net

Here's the scoop...your teams will not start play until the 2005
season. That season will also be the first season of The New System,
which is a detailed financial system we will be using.

In between now and 2005, you will be building your team while
shadowing the league for a year so you have a good grasp of how it
works. You will participate in our annual draft this year, but not
our free agency this off-season. You will also participate in our
minor league draft and a free agency draft during the season. At the
end of the 2004 season, you will participate in an Expansion Draft
and be permitted to sign free agents.

As I said before, I want committed owners. Which is why I am asking
for fees through 2007 to be paid upfront. I realize some may have a
problem with this, but this is done to ensure people are committed
to the league and their expansion franchises. Our last round of
expansion saw two of the four teams change owners multiple times
early on and caused those two teams to be left well behind the other
two expansion teams. I want any new owners to have a full
committment and vested interest in their team. As well, the fees are
quite reasonable. If you are interested and feel you would be a
valuable member of our league, please read the rules and new system
