Description

The group that meets on Tuesday & Saturday is an offshoot of the Rocky Mountain Road Runners located in Denver, Colorado. The club spans all genders, ages, and abilities. Race Walkers are also welcome.

Being a RMRR member is not a pre-requisite to joining us at any of the club's monthly Trophy Races, Tues Fun Runs, Sat Training Runs or the summer Marathon Training Series.

There is no cost for the Tues Fun Runs or Sat Training Runs. Non-members pay $5/race for the monthly Trophy Series Races. Fees vary for the Marathon Training Series. See rmrr.org for additional information on the club.

The Tuesday evening Fun Runs are at Washington Park in Denver at 6pm. The group usually does 2 laps, just over 5 miles. The group meets in the Northwest corner of the parking lot of Denver South H.S. by intersection of E. Louisiana Ave & Franklin St across from the park. Those interested, go for dinner after everyone is finished.

The Saturday Training Runs usually begin at 9am at the Goodson Rec Ctr off of University Blvd, North of Arapahoe Rd. The address is 6315 S University Blvd, Centennial 80121. During the months of June thru September, the starting time is 7am. The weekly emails will confirm the start time and location. We run North on the Highline Canal Trail, the distance can vary from 2-24 miles according to your training schedule, nearly every 1/2 mile is marked. The trail is composed of compacted dirt, although there may be very short portions of asphalt or concrete. Everyone should bring a water bottle. Remember your sunscreen during the summer. Those interested, go for breakfast or lunch after everyone is finished.

Once you have registered you will receive weekly e-mails for the Tues and Sat runs.
