The study involves a screening day of approximately 6 hours.  Following this visit, there are three identical blocks of a baseline day at Denver altitude followed by a day at 16,000 feet in an altitude chamber. All visits include blood draws, exercise on a stationary bicycle, non-invasive brain circulatory measurements and a brain MRI. The baseline tests take about 6 hours, the chamber days 14 hours. You will perform two of these blocks with a separation of at least 3 weeks. You cannot go to or above 7,500 feet for 3 weeks before all baseline days. You will receive a placebo on one chamber visit or an FDA approved drug for altitude sickness on the others.

Qualifying Subjects will be compensated.
