SATURDAY EVERGREEN
The Evergreen Runners Circle (ERC) holds FREE runs every Saturday,
8:30am, on trails, in the Evergreen area. Several DTR regulars join
these runs. The ERC runs are typically about 60 minutes long. They
usually go out for coffee/breakfast afterwards. Please forward your
questions to Dave via the ERC link below. For more info about the ERC
schedules, go to: http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Lodge/7018/index.html
Schedule:
3/22: Evergreen Lake House

SUNDAY GOLDEN
Golden weekend runs are Sundays at 7:30 a.m. Meet outside Brooks
Field, CSM Stadium, on 12th Street in Golden, and run on one of six or
more different routes in the Golden area. All of the courses allow for
varying lengths (e.g. 6-14+ miles) and paces, depending on the
interests of the runners on that day. For further information contact
Ron Benioff at rnbenioff@... 303-279-6152.

LONE TREE
Jotham Matabi wants to see if there is interested in a Douglas County run:
"I'm thinking of starting and leading a run probably on Wednesday
evening or Sunday evenings if there's enough interest. The run would
be at Bluffs Regional Park,
http://co.douglas.co.us/publicworks/parksandtrails/Bluffs_Regional_Park.html

Address: 10099 Crooked Stick Trail, Lone Tree, CO 80124
Time between 5.00-6.00pm
Individuals can email me on this email if anyone is interested."

Interested in another weekday or weekend group run? Pick a time and
place, and we'll post it to the group.

EVENTS & CLINICS
From Ulrich Kamm, ultrawalk@...:
"You probably haven't seen Boulder's newspapers last Thursday. Both
had nice articles about a new event we are organizing:
http://www.dailycamera.com/news/2008/mar/13/the-long-walk-endurance-race-comes-t\
o-boulder/

http://www.coloradodaily.com/articles/2008/03/12/sports/local_sports/local2.txt

Now I'm thinking that some people of the "Denver Trail Runners" group
may be interested in participating. The majority of entrants we have
so far are trail runners (8 have done 100 milers). They train in this
event their endurance, being on their feet for a long time, going
through a night, etc..

Here is what we do:

* Walk as a group of max. 25 on a 3.7 mi (paved) loop in downtown
Boulder (maps and all details at www.ultrawalk.com)
* Short stops for food + drink, mandatory 10 min. stop per loop,
no sleep breaks
* Walk just as far as you want, or walk as far as you can
* No entry fee
* Charity event
* Last man/woman standing has to go an Extra Mile, and then the
winner gets $1,000
* Last 4 qualify for EME World Championship in December in Las
Vegas, where the winner gets $10,000

Isn't that something for some of your group members?

Feel free to ask whenever you have questions.

Happy trails,
Ulli"
