DETAILS:
1. SATURDAY MOUNTAIN BIKING (11/17).
Adam will lead a mountain bike ride at South Table Mountain.
Meet at the NREL lot, ready to ride at 8:30am.
You may be thinking, South Table for riding? It's actually fun.
There's enough rocks and undulation to keep it interesting, some fun
motocross-like sections, and doesn't require any long uphill grinds.
If you haven't run there yet, this will be a good opportunity to
check out the trails by bike in the daylight before we run there at
night this winter.
We'll ride for 60-90 minutes. You can also stick around and
watch the cyclocross races there. The cyclocross course will be
around the CDOT test track area. If you haven't seen a cross race,
they're a lot of fun to watch. It's like a motocross course or
criterium. Riders hammer for 30-60 minutes, up and down short, steep
hills, through mud (not this weekend) and sand, and over obstacles,
having to get off and on their bikes quickly, and carry them at
times.

2. SUNDAY TRAIL RUN (11/18).
Joe P. will lead a trail run at Deer Creek Canyon Park. Meet at
8:30am.
We'll try to group up at the start, based on how long people
plan to run. Some might run for an hour or less, while others will
go long/easy for perhaps 2 hours.
