Subject: Rim Rock hotel reservations &/or carpool
Official hotel this year for the Rim Rock Run is Comfort Inn in Fruita - NOT Grand Junction. (This has totally changed from previous years.)
Comfort Inn located in Fruita, CO
400 Jurassic
970-858-1333
I-70 exit 19
Total Est. Drive-Time: 4 hours
Total Est. Distance from Denver: 254.40 miles
$49.99 per night when you ask for the Rim Rock Run Special. (But this might be only for single-bed rooms)
I reserved 3 adjacent double-queen rooms. (I can cancel one if I need to, or if you want to transfer one of the rooms to your credit card let me know.)
Confirmation #'s 190839 & 190967 & 190968
I don't have the total cost yet, and won't until I get a head-count from everyone and call Comfort Inn back with the specifics.
Late checkout is still kind of early so I reserved one room for two nights. There's a party after the race which is the BEST! Great beer and pizza have been served in past years. There's a new race director, though, so maybe it's different, but we don't want to have to rush back to the rooms. So when we leave race-day morning, we need to pile all our stuff in the room reserved for Sat.
At this time, I don't know anyone who's staying until Sunday, but it's an option since the room will be paid for.
This is on my credit card, so please let me know and pay me back. If we have people in beds and camped on the floor, it ought to be cheap (per-person)!
I need a head-count! Who's going??? Who needs a room? I need to call the hotel back and let them know and cancel a room if I have too many.
As for carpooling, my car is filled but anyone going who wants to carpool should probably post back and see if you can hook up with someone.
