THURSDAY RUN
Run Location: South Valley Park. The main group will start at 6:15pm;
the early group at 5:30pm.
Run notes: We'll do a slight variation of the posted route. Everyone
should do one loop of the Grazing Elk trail (we usually go
counter-clockwise). Then:
Short – Return via Swallow or Coyote Song trail.
Intermediate – On the return, after crossing the road, take the first
right, then stay right at the next junction. Take the Coyote Song
trail down to Deer Creek Cyn Rd. Turn around there, and return to the
lot on Coyote Song.
Long – On the return, after crossing the road, take the first right,
then make a sharp left at the next junction, Coyote Song. In another
0.4mi, take a right up the Lyons Back trail. You come to a 3-way
junction just over the top of the hogback. Run a counter-clockwise
triangle – right at the junction, left up the Cathy Johnson trail,
then left on Columbine – returning back to the junction. Head back
over the hogback, and down Lyons Back, to Coyote Song. Go right, and
return to the lot.
Please bring a watch and plan your route to finish before dark.
Sunset 6:50pm
End Civil Twilight 7:17pm
This is the first of our regular Full Moon (FM) runs of the season.
The FM is actually on Wed. The moon should be rising as we finish our
run. The next FM run will be on 10/25.
