+ Discounts for DTRs
THURSDAY RUN
Run Location: Gudy Gaskill Trail (Genesee). The main group will start at 6:15pm;
the
early group at 5:30pm. Meet at the school.
Genesee is a lot closer than you think. It only takes 6-7 minutes to
get there from the Morrison exit. If you're coming from Denver or the
north, that's less time than it takes to get to Falcon or Green. From
the SW (e.g., Littleton), that's less time than it takes to get to
Lookout or N. Table.
Run notes: There are no maps at the trailhead, and only a few trail signs. If
you
haven't run here before, please bring a copy of the map and route
description. If you want to take it easy, there are options to shorten
the run. There are some great views, overlooking Clear Creek canyon,
along the run. In case of rain, we'll run the roads around Genesee.
There are no bathrooms or changing facilities at the run.
Tentative schedule:
8/9: North Table
8/16: Green Mtn.
8/23: Lair `o the Bear, picnic.
If you are new to DTR and unfamiliar with the trails, and for more
information about DTR, including FAQs, please go to the link below.

WILD WEST RELAY
Jack Bascom writes:
"My Wild West Relay team did not come together. Registration has
already been paid. If any one wants the erpeirece [sic] call me at
(415) 775-0158 or email jxtripper@...."
Mike Hoffman, mrh@... writes:
"As it turns out, we have a team of Hashers that just had a couple last-minute
drop-outs (one due to a knee injury).
Do you think anyone in the DTR would like to join our team? We are not running
competitvely, just to enjoy ourselves, have some good runs, and complete the
course. (Since we are registered in the "Hash House Harriers" division, we're
pretty much guaranteed a medal, though. :-) )
If I had to put down "qualifications", I'd say we are looking for people who are
friendly, have a good sense of humor, and don't mind not "winning". We have no
speed quals or anything like that -- just be able to complete your assigned
legs.
Oh, and we won't be doing anything "hash" like while on trail, although there
will be a cooler of beer (along with water, soda, Gatorade) in the van."
The race is this weekend. For info, go to
