This weekend is the Mile High Nationals drag racing event at Bandimere
Speedway, in Morrison. The event officially runs Fri-Sun. However,
there will be increased activity and traffic around the speedway on
Thursday. You may be better off avoiding the area around Morrison
Roads and Rooney Roads on your way to Falcon. Here are some alternate
routes:

From Denver and the north: Take I-70 past the C-470 interchange, to
the next exit, Red Rocks, #259. There is not concert at Red Rocks that
evening. Go left (from Denver, right if from Evergreen), south off the
highway. Follow the road ~2.5mi down to Morrison. Turn right at the T
intersection, in Morrison, for ~200 yards. Turn left at hwy 8 for
~1/2mi. Look for the Falcon sign.

From the south, take hwy 285 SW, up the canyon, to the next exit W of
C-470. Go S on hwy 8, past The Fort restaurant, ~1mi. Look for the
Falcon sign.


Forecast calls for a decent chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms
Thursday afternoon/evening. If there is a significant amount of rain
or storm activity, or if the trail is muddy, we won't run at Falcon.
Instead, we'll run at Red Rocks (not a time trial). Meet at the
