IN THIS WEEK'S MESSAGE:
+ Clothing for the homeless
+ Thursday run
+ Other group runs
+ Carpools and group trips
+ Talks, Clinics, and other Non-Race Events
+ Races

It's time to clear out those old running shoes and race shirts taking
up space in your closet. Every year, I collect clothing from various
running groups, and take it to homeless shelters. I will collect your
old shoes and shirts, at the Thursday night runs, over the next
several weeks.

You can do this yourself too, and get a tax donation. Several running
stores recycle old shoes. I know Runners Roost does,
http://www.runnersroost.com/reuseashoeprogram2.html . There are
several places in Boulder,
http://www.boulderrunning.com/oneworldrunning/shoedrop.php . You can
also check other running stores. I usually take the clothing to the
Denver Rescue Mission, http://www.denverrescuemission.org , 303-313-2413

THURSDAY RUN
Location: Red Rocks

Time: The early group starts around 5:30pm. The main group will start
at 6:00pm. EARLY START TIME! The main group will start at 6pm, for the
next several weeks, to capture the fading daylight.

Sunset 6:26pm. End civil twilight 6:53pm.

Run notes: If it's dry, we will run the trails into Matthews Winters.
If it's muddy, we'll stick to the roads in the park. If you don't have
a light, the park roads are a safe alternative.

If you are new to DTR, or unfamiliar with the trails, directions or
ratings, please follow the link below to maps, route descriptions,
driving directions, FAQs, and other information.
