Hi,
I'm Scott McFarlane and have been running with the 5:30 DTR group for
several years now. I will be leading a DTR group run on Saturday, May 13. The
run will be on the new Sharptail Ridge Trail, not far from Chatfield,
Roxborough, and Waterton Canyon. The trail is gently rolling hills, and fairly
smooth. The early group on Thursdays tends to be slower, so the pace will be
moderate, 8-11 min/mi. It's an out-and-back trail, so you can go as short or
long as you want. The Sharptail trail goes for about 4.4 miles where it meets
the Swallowtail trail. The Swallowtail trail consists of a 3.3 mile loop that
can be short-circuited in the middle for those who would like to run 10 or 12
miles.
We will start from the Sharptail Ridge Trailhead at 8:30 on Saturday
morning. Dogs and Bicycles are NOT allowed on the Sharptail Ridge
trail.
