This week's speed workout will be at Green Mtn, weather permitting.*
Meet at the Rooney Rd lot, Tuesday, at 6pm.
The speed workouts are for all running levels. We will stay in a small
area, so no one will be left behind. If you want to get faster, you have
to practice faster.
After a warm up, we'll do short repeats on a short, steep hill – run
hard uphill (~45sec - 1min), easy recovery down.
On the route map, the warm-up will be the small loop to GM1 and back.
Then. we'll start up the dirt road towards GM5, then go left on the
trail (red line). Follow the red line N, to where it turns 90 degrees
right. The repeats will on the hill leading up to that turn.
Bring extra clothing, water, etc., to leave at the bottom of the hill.
* If it's raining, or the trails are muddy, we'll move the workout to
Red Rocks. Meet at the Trading Post. If you're unsure, you can check
the Green Mtn lot first (look for me in a brown Saturn), or call my
cell, 303-870-0487. We'll start 10 min later, so you'll have time to
check Green first. We'll do a similar workout on the hilly, paved roads.
