Join us for what may be the last full moon run of the season.
When: Tuesday, March 14, 6:15pm
Where: Chief Hosa. Directions are on the DTR site,
http://dtr.runuphillracing.com
Pace: Social. We'll try to keep everyone together, and frequently regroup.
Route: Easy out-and-back. Moderate climb. Not technical. Mostly dirt
roads. Very little traffic. Very short paved section. The last ~1mi
will be snow covered. The lower parts are well maintained. Easy route
to follow.
* Start up the road, to the right of the lodge.
* ~2/3 mi up, stay right at the 3-way junction. Remember this for the
way back.
* ~2mi from the start, make a sharp left at the paved road.
* The pavement ends after 1/3mi. Stay left of the lot, and go around
the chain.
* Continue another mile up to the flag pole.
If you don't want to go all the way up, you'll have a good view of the
moon from the lot, by the chain.
Return back the same way:
* Remember to turn right, back onto the dirt road, ~1/3mi after the chain.
* Pay attention at the lower 3-way junction. Stay left to return the
same way. Some of us will purposely go the other way, to the right.
That is 3/4 mi longer. It's easy to end up going right if you're not
paying attention.
