Leigh Singleton is leading runs every Tue morning at South Table Mtn (T=3, P=2, N=4). The runs will start at 5:15am, and run into the sunrise. Leigh, and now Ray, are looking for some additional company. Look for Leigh in a yellow Xterra, often with a standard poodle. These runs will continue every week as long as people show up. Please contact Leigh for more info: inclinerunner@.... It's also helpful if you let her know if you plan to show up, It's not a prerequisite. It's OK to just show up.

Directions: Meet at the NREL visitors' lot. Take I-70 to Denver West Blvd. Go north to the first street. Turn left. Go 2 blocks to the NREL lot. From 6th ave, exit at Indiana. Go north to Colfax. Turn right and continue past the shopping center on the left. Turn left at Denver West Marriott Blvd. Go over I-70 and follow the directions above. There are no bathrooms or changing facilities at this site.

This Thursday evening's run is at Stonehouse Park, (T=1, P=1-2, N=2)**. The main group will start at 6:15pm. An informal group usually meets at 5:30pm.

This is an optional dirt/paved mix, or all pavement run. Thus, you don't need a bright light. After the run, we will head over to the Boulder Running Company party (see below).

Directions (see attached map): From the north, take Wadsworth or Kipling south from hwy 6. From Wadsworth, turn west onto Yale. Yale is ~1mi north of Hampden, and 1/2mi south of Morrison Rd, at the bottom of the hill. Go west on Yale ~1/2 mile to Estes. Turn left. Go 1/4 mile and turn left into the lot. From Kipling, go east at Morrison Rd. for ~1mi. Turn right at the light at Estes/Garrison. Go about 1/2mi then turn left into the lot.

From the east, take hwy 285 to Wadsworth. Go north ~1mi to Yale. Turn left, then follow the directions above.

From the west, take hwy 285 to Kipling. Go north to Dartmouth and turn right. Turn right again at the next street, Dartmouth Place. Continue to the stop sign at Estes. Turn left, go over the creek, then turn right into the lot.

Main Route: This is a fairly easy route to follow. Start on the wide dirt path that is, across the street from the lot, and head west. After ~2/3-mi, it merges with the bike path. Continue west for another 1/4-mi. Jog left, cross Old Kipling, then pick up the path again on the other side. Follow the path as it winds through the condo complex. When you hit the road at the golf course, go left and follow the road/bike path towards the golf clubhouse. Do not take Morrison Rd. Past the clubhouse, the bike path splits right from the road. Follow the path as it climbs to the top of the dam. The run should be about an hour, so turn and return the same way when you hit 30 minutes. To add more, go left at and run across the top of the dam.

If you miss the path we started on, continue east on the bike path. About 200 yards after crossing under Estes, look for a footbridge on your left. Cross here to the finish.

Additional trail/dirt start: By the picnic shelters, head east on the wide dirt path. Follow the path along the south side of two ponds. The path curves left at the far end of the 2nd pond. There, go right and head east towards Wadsworth. When you hit the paved path, just before Wadsworth, go right and cross the footbridge. Take an immediate right and either take the bike path, or the parallel single track trails west back towards the start. After ~3/4 mi, you can go right, across the bridge, back to the lot. Then, cross the road and follow the main route. Or, skip the bridge and continue west on the bike path.

This Saturday's Evergreen Runners Circle (ERC) run is at Beaver Brook Trail, Genesee (T=4, P=3, N=4)**. Meet at the park-n-ride lot, on the north side of I-70, at the Genesee exit (#254), by the buffalo overlook.

The ERC runs are usually 60-90 minutes long. Occasionally, some people will start early, or run longer, to get in more mileage. They usually go out for coffee/breakfast afterwards. Several of us do the ERC runs, but I don't organize them. Please forward your questions to Dave via the ERC link below. For more info about the ERC schedules, go to:

http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Lodge/7018/index.html

Schedule:

12/25 & 1/1 - no ERC runs

Our annual x-mas lights run and dinner will be Dec 23. This is a very casual run. We will go slowly through the neighborhood, looking at x-mas lights, followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant. In the past, we've run the streets around Wash Park, then gone to dinner at Las Margaritas, on South Gaylord. Let me know soon if you know of another neighborhood with good lights.

The Incline Club (IC) runs on trails around Manitou Springs, every Sunday, from Thanksgiving until the Pikes Peak race. They stay on lower trails over the winter, then start going higher on the Pikes trails as the snow fades away. The group is organized by Matt Carpenter. There is a large number, often 100 or more, and a wide range of runners at these runs. The group is free. For more info go to http://www.inclineclub.com/

Contact me if you are interested in carpooling to these runs.
