This Thursday's run is at South Valley Park. The main group will start at 6:30pm. A smaller group usually starts around 5:30pm; look for Scott, Ray, Connie or Kim.
Directions: From the north, take C470 to the Ken Caryl exit. Go west, into the canyon. Go left at the "Y" (light). Continue taking lefts. The lot is on your left, ~1.3mi from the "Y".
From the south, take C-470 to Kipling. Go south ~50 yards to the stop sign and turn right onto Ute. The road curves left, goes down the hill, then merges with Deer Creek. Go right up the canyon, past the S. Valley lot along Deer Creek. After ~1.2mi, take the next right onto South Valley Rd. After0.4mi up the hill, take the next right, still S. Valley Rd. Continue north ~0.9mi to the lot on the right.
Route: This is a new run location for us. I haven't run there yet. A few of the regulars say that it's a good location for winter running. Please refer to the map linked below.
Start south on the hiker only, Swallow trail (the one on the right) for ~1mi. Stay right at the fork for 1/4mi. Cross the road, then continue another 1/4mi to the Grazing Elk trail.* This is a 2.2mi loop. Go right and do 1-3 loops. 1 loop is 5.2mi total. 2 loops is 7.4mi total; 3 loops is 9.9. You can add some variety (and distance) by taking the Rattlesnake Gulch trail, from the S end of Grazing Elk, down the hill, across Deer Creek Rd, and up to the Deer Creek lot. It's ~0.6mi ea. way.

This Saturday's Evergreen Runners Circle (ERC) run is at Elk Meadow, lower lot (T=3, P=2-5, N=2)**.
Take the Evergreen Parkway, hwy 74, exit 252 from I-70. Continue through Bergen Park ~4.5 mi. Just after you pass Elk Meadow on your right, turn right at the light at the bottom of the hill, turn right onto Lewis Ridge Rd., then an immediate right into the dirt lot.
The ERC runs are usually 60-90 minutes long. Occasionally, some people will start early, or run longer, to get in more mileage. They usually go out for coffee/breakfast afterwards. Several of us do the ERC runs, but I don't organize them. Please forward your questions to Dave via the ERC link below. For more info about the ERC schedules, go to:
