As we enter the fall, the weather can become more of a factor. I strongly encourage staying off muddy trails. So, be prepared for last minute changes to the Thursday run. Also, we will move the start time of the runs up to 6pm by the end of the month.
Also, it is getting dark earlier. We will try to start each run on time to take advantage of the waning daylight. Look for sunset data below.

This Thursday's run is at North Table Mtn (T=3, P=3; N=2)**. The main group will start at 6:15pm sharp. A smaller, informal group usually starts around 5:30pm; look for Scott, Ray, Connie or Kim.
Sunset 7:18pm; End civil twilight 7:46pm.
Sunset 7:18pm; End civil twilight 7:46pm.
Directions: From the intersection of hwys 6, 58 & 93 in Golden, go north on hwy 93 towards Boulder. Go ~1.4mi and turn right at Pine Ridge, the first street after Golden Gate Canyon. Go 2 short blocks to the end, then make a left on Wyoming. After Wyoming curves right, the parking lot for the trailhead will be on your left. There is no bathroom at the trailhead.
Route (see attached map): Start up the trail towards the water tank. Go right at the tank, take a left up the single track, left again through the fence, then, right up the 4WD road to the top. At the top, continue east, straight, on the old 4WD road. The road curves left, right, the left again. Make sure you stay on the south and east side of the fence. Continue north until you're about even with the radio towers on your left.* Follow the road as it curves left and goes down the hill and around the north side of the mountain. About midway, stay right at the service road junction* and continue around the mountain. The road turns into a trail. Follow the trail south along the east side of the mountain, then climb steeply up a ravine to the plateau. At the top, continue heading west towards the radio towers. When you hit the 4wd road, go left and retrace your route to the start.
Unless you are starting early, only the faster intermediate runners and better will be able to do the entire loop. It'll take the fastest runners 1:00+ to complete the loop. For everyone else, please do this as an out-and-back, turning around at ~30-35 minutes. The trail on the map was drawn by hand. The elevation profile is fairly accurate, but the distance is probably closer 7.5-8.0mi.
* Regrouping point. Please wait here to help guide new runners.
Schedule (subject to change):

Saturday's Evergreen Runners Circle (ERC) run is the Bergen Peak/Elk Meadow race (T=3, P=3-5, N=2)**. See race details in calendar section.
Take Evergreen Parkway, hwy 74, exit 252 from I-70. Continue through Bergen Park, past the lower Elk Meadow lot, to the next light. Turn right at Stagecoach Blvd. and go about 1-mile to the lot.
The ERC runs are usually 60-90 minutes long. Occasionally, some people will start early, or run longer, to get in more mileage. They usually go out for coffee/breakfast afterwards. Several of us do the ERC runs, but I don't organize them. Please forward your questions to Dave via the ERC link below. For more info about the ERC schedules, go to:
