The Mile High Nationals drag racing is going on at Bandimere
Speedway. The entrance is on Rooney Rd., so traffic there is likely
to be heavy. For those coming from the south, you might want to try
this alternate route:

Exit C-470 at Morrison road. Turn left, and head west into Morrison.
Don't turn right at Rooney Rd. Instead, continue into Morrison. Veer
right just before the white, spanish style building. Go north ~2mi up
the hill. Take the next right, a sharp right, and head over the
hogback. On the other side, at the bottom of the hill, before you
cross over C-470, turn left onto Rooney Rd. The lot is ~1/2 mi up on
the right.

If you're coming from the DTC, here's a route that lessens some of
the traffic burdens:
Take Belleview west to Santa Fe.
Turn right, north on Santa Fe to Hampden, hwy 285.
Turn left, west on 285 to C-470.
Go north on C-470 to Morrison Rd.
