Danelle Ballengee and I will be giving a FREE talk at the Denver
Niketown store this Tuesday, July 13, at 7pm.
An optional fun run starts at 5:45pm. The group includes a wide range
of running abilities, so everyone should have someone to run with.
They run for about an hour, out-and-back on the Cherry Creek path,
either towards University or the Platter.
There will be plenty of free food and raffle prizes.
The talk is called a "Gear and Gadget Workshop" (e.g., HR monitors,
hydration/bottle packs), but we will talk about anything the audience
wants: training, nutrition, etc.
Niketown is located at 16th and Glenarm, in the Denver Pavilions
shopping center. It's only a few blocks from the light rail line.
There's a free shuttle along the pedestrian only 16th street mall.
There is parking in the Pavilions.
Danelle is perhaps the top female adventure racer in the world. She's
won both the Eco-Challenge and Primal Quest, numerous shorter ARs, as
well as many other endurance sports including: Pikes Peak Marathon,
Xterra Triathlon, snowshoe racing, and biking.
While I don't have the elite credentials of Danelle, I do have over 30
years of racing experience in a variety of endurance sports including:
mountain/ultra running, snowshoe racing, tri/duathlons, mountain/road
biking, adventure racing, and x-c skiing.
